I voted for Aliens. The Colonial Marines make an appearance and I think it took the series to a level it never reached again. Although, I do have a love of Alien 3 (against all odds and popular opinion, I know). That they have no guns to defend themeselves with makes it a scary movie (after gung ho Aliens).

I will never forget the when I saw this first Aliens movie in the theater. When that little freaky dude burst out of the guys stomach I was hooked....Now that was Cool!!!

The original was good too though. But I prefer the military themes in Camerons film.

It actually depends.

If voting for the scariest and most thrilling movie - then Alien. If for pure action slaughterhouse - then Aliens. Third one I disliked because of the love scenes. Fourth one .. I don't want to talk about it.

Voted for the first one because it's scary(est), because for that time it's unbelievably original and well made. Still from time to time I watch it over and over again. Never getting bored and always it's like watching it for first time ...

The third was underrated me thinks. That Dogalien was adorably horrifying.

Then again, I'm one of the few fans that doesn't think Paul Anderson should contract some sort of cancer, so pay no attention to my opinion.
